CATEGORIES OF SUPPORT: 

The GLPEF currently offers three (3) categories of support to students at Titchfield High and the University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech).  For Titchfield High School, scholarships are available to grade 12 students who excelled at the Caribbean Secondary Examination Council (CSEC) level.  


  1. Scholarships for one male and one female; 
  2. Students should have sat the CXC / CSEC  examination in fifth form at Titchfield High School, and must be entering the sixth form; 
  3. Students must attain grades 'One' or 'Two' in eight (8) CSEC / CXC subjects, inclusive of two science subjects, English language and mathematics;  
  4. Preference will be given to students who are actively involved in school life—inclusive of sports and / or recognized school club / society; require assistance, and participating in government's social safety net programmes.  
  5. Applications open on 15th August, and close 15th September. 
  6. Late applications will not be accepted. (APPLY ON NEXT PAGE) 
  7. Obtain the application's Authorization Code from the Guidance Counsellors' Offices.

The scholarship is for grade 12 students (one male and one female), and covers: (a) Gregory Lloyd Prince Educational Foundation Plaque for Academic Excellence, (b) Scholarship covering the cost of the CAPE entry fee, and two (2) CAPE subjects not covered by the Ministry of Education, (c) Copies of books authored by Gregory Prince, and (d) Contribution to start or continue an investment account at a financial Institution. 


In the future, support will also be available to students of: St. Catherine High School, Wolmer's Trust High School for Girls and Spanish Town High.

2. Best Academic Performance Award for UTech's Year 2 & 3 URP Students

2. Best Academic Performance Award for UTech's Year 2 & 3 URP Students

2. Best Academic Performance Award for UTech's Year 2 & 3 URP Students

The recipients of the Best Academic Performance Award are determined by the Urban and Regional Planning (URP) Department at the University of Technology, Jamaica. Plaques will be awarded to the successful students (i.e. one 2nd and one 3rd year student with the the highest GPA). This award is for either local or international students. This award commenced for the students for academic years 2019-2020, and 2020-2021.

3. The Good Citizenship Award for one Year 3 or 4, URP Student

2. Best Academic Performance Award for UTech's Year 2 & 3 URP Students

2. Best Academic Performance Award for UTech's Year 2 & 3 URP Students

The recipient of the Good Citizenship Award is determined by the Urban and Regional Planning (URP) Department at the University of Technology, Jamaica. The identified student is considered to be the most helpful and resourceful local or international student who fervently supports  events and initiatives of the URP Department, and of the University. This award has been supported since the year 2010.
